The hard times make hard hands, and hard minds are forged through blunt blows of struggle. And in the good times we always remember they won’t last forever. Every thing that is had is earned. If you didn’t earn it, somebody else did, and somebody else is. And you dishonor their sacrifices by having lazy hands and numbing your mind with whatever false feeling you produce through distraction and self-loathing. What everyone has in this country is choice. Don’t whore it out, don’t squander it. Steal motivation from every good and every bad part of your life and experiences. And choose to use that motivation for only great things.
